Services

At Integrity Dental, we offer general dentistry services in a warm,

friendly and relaxing environment where your comfort is always a top priority.

We're committed to delivering exceptional, comprehensive dental care for individuals and families in and around Maine.

We take pride in what we do and never compromise on the quality of our work or our values. We believe everyone should have access to great dental care in a gentle setting and at affordable fees. We work hand-in-hand with each of our patients to tailor treatment to their unique needs, goals, timeline and budget. Our approach to treatment is never one-size-fits-all.

Our team is caring, compassionate and gentle. Let's face it - not many people actually get excited about going to the dentist for one reason or another. But truth be told, our patients actually LOVE coming to see us! We see just as many smiles coming in as we do going out! We care deeply about our patients and are proud to say they're some of the happiest and healthiest around!

We offer a variety of general dentistry services ranging from prevention to treatment.

Diagnostic

We offer many services that help us determine the overall status of your oral health and diagnose any concerns that might be present. Among these are digital x-rays, 2D panoramic digital x-rays, 3D "cone beam" digital x-rays and digital intraoral photography. Of course, none of this would be complete without a thorough examination process, which is always the cornerstone of our comprehensive approach to your care.

Preventative

"An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure."

- Benjamin Franklin

One of the most commonly requested preventative services we provide is a dental cleaning. Routine dental cleanings, along with regular checkups, are one of the easiest and most effective ways to maintain good oral health and help prevent bigger concerns from arising later on down the road. Not having this routine preventative maintenance is like not taking your car in for it's oil change or tire rotation every 5,000 miles - eventually, something's going to break down, and you'll likely end up paying a lot more to fix it than you would have by keeping things in good working order to begin with.

Did you know? A dental cleaning is never one-size-fits-all. That's because no two patients are alike. Where one patient may be completely fine having a routine cleaning, another may require a more in-depth and involved "deep cleaning". Similarly, where some patients may be completely fine coming every 6 months for their cleanings, others may need to be seen more frequently (i.e. every 3 or 4 months). We work closely with every patient to determine which type of cleaning and cleaning frequency is best for them.

And our preventative services don't stop there. In addition to dental checkups and cleanings, we offer fluoride enamel remineralization treatments. They're quick and easy, taste great, and there's no need to wait around the office like you may have had to in the past! We offer dental sealants that can help prevent cavities by creating a protective barrier between your delicate teeth and all of the not-so-great things many of us subject them to each and every day (i.e. sugar, sticky foods, and acids). Think of it like waxing your car to prevent salt and grime from sticking during the winter.

We also offer protective appliances like custom-fitted night guards and sports guards, to protect your teeth from potentially harmful situations.

Most of our preventative services are available for both children and adults, so the whole family can smile more and spend less time at the dentist!

Restorative and Cosmetic

We don't just fill or fix teeth, we restore (or as we like to say, "rejuvenate") them back to their proper form and function. We pride ourselves on hand-crafting dental restorations that are not only strong and built to last, but are also beautiful. We offer composite (tooth-colored) restorations, and esthetic/natural-looking crowns, bridges and veneers. For patients who have lost teeth over the course of their lives, we offer different options for replacing missing teeth, ranging from implant crowns* to removable complete and partial dentures. Whatever your needs, goals or budget, we'll work with you to find a solution that works best for you.

We're also proud to offer our patients a selection of convenient teeth whitening options. These include our very popular take-home whitening kit and our even more popular in-office rapid whitening session. Our take-home option offers a strong but safe whitening solution with the convenience of pre-loaded whitening trays that can be worn on your own schedule from the comfort of your own home. This option includes a 10 day supply of pre-loaded whitening trays. You're free to use as few or as many trays as you like, allowing you to customize the level of whitening you achieve. Our in-office rapid whitening option offers a much stronger but equally safe whitening solution with the convenience of a single visit to our office, which typically lasts no more than an hour. Whichever option you feel best fits your lifestyle, you're bound to be flashing a whiter, more confident smile in no time!

*Please note that at this time we are restoring dental implants only, but not surgically placing them ourselves in our office. The actual surgical implant placement is typically performed by one of our trusted oral surgeon or periodontist colleagues. We'll be happy to discuss the option of dental implants with you and help determine if you're a good candidate, then make the appropriate referral to one of our trusted colleagues. Rest assured, we'll be with you every step of the way to ensure that your needs and goals are met, and that you receive the best end result. Please also note that there is typically at least a 4 to 6 month period of healing after having an implant placed, and this healing must be fully completed before our team can restore your implant.

Surgical

As much as we love to help our patients keep their natural teeth for as long as possible, and hopefully for life, we realize there are times when it may make more sense to remove a tooth and replace it with something more predictable and longer lasting. Hopefully this will never apply to you, but if it does, rest assured that we do offer tooth extractions depending on the tooth/teeth involved, the level of complexity, and the overall health and comfort level of the patient. In the event our doctor isn't comfortable extracting your tooth/teeth, we'll make the appropriate referral to a local oral surgeon.

We also offer bone preservation ("bone grafting") and almost always recommend having this done at the time that a tooth is extracted. You can probably imagine how you'd be left with a hole where your tooth used to be following an extraction. That hole usually heals/fills in on its own over time, but usually results in a "sink hole" or lack of bone in the area where the tooth used to be, since there's no longer a tooth present to hold the natural shape of the bone. By opting for a bone preservation graft at the time of extraction, we can fill the extraction site with a special bone graft material that serves as a scaffolding for your body's natural cells to heal around. The result is typically more bone and better bone healing in the area where your tooth is lost, meaning you're more likely to have the amount of bone you need to replace the tooth with something like an implant, bridge or denture in the future. It's important to note that a bone preservation graft should ideally be done at the same time as a tooth extraction for better healing and a better end result.
